2015 Classes starting this summer!

Hey Future Jumping Beans!! We are starting up classes this summer for realsies this time! I'm so excited to try out my new gym with some new little jumpers. I'll include some pictures of my little gym to get you excited about having fun and learning some fundamentals in gymnastics this summer. My kids are already having a BLAST using it every day!

I will be doing 8 1-hour classes per week per class. The fee for the entire 8 class course will be $70. If there is more than one sibling per class, the entire course will be $60 per student. When I switch to fall classes, the fees will be $35 per month, or $30 per student for families with multiple students.

Classes will be one-hour in the morning on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am trying to keep my classes small, but if you have a group of more than 4 kids that would like to come at the same time, I have a plan for you. :) Just let me know and I am sure we can accommodate your needs!

The gym is located in the smaller garage and has plenty of space for tumbling and leaping. The swing is put away for most of the gymnastics time, but we love to incorporate it into learning balance and body positioning skills at the end of class.

There is plenty of space here for fun stations and cycles! (And don't worry, we will be adding heavy-duty bumpers to any dangerous concrete edges before classes start.)

Entry to the house gives easy access to a drinking fountain and bathroom for the little gymnasts, and parents and siblings can wait just outside the doors on the front patio, or in the great park right across the street--or go get your errands done! We are located 5 minutes from Costco and Walmart.

Our new trapeze is not only fun, but will give our male gymnasts a chance to learn some of their fundamental skills.
If we need a change of pace, we will run down to the awesome playroom to do some obstacle courses and free play! We'll also be using the lawn and the in-ground trampoline to really stretch our legs!

I will be doing fun themes again this year--the kids love them so much! It's a great way to keep the little ones engaged while they learn balance, flexibility, tumbling and dance, and try new and exciting things!

Themes this summer may include:

Animal Day: Kiss the frog, jump over the snake, dip your toe into the alligator pond, walk like a bear, hang like a possum, and kick like a donkey! Acting like animals can be a great way to learn.

Space Day: Get ready to launch your rockets, walk on the moon, and reach for the stars as we take off into outer space!

Food Day: Can you make your body into the shape of a banana? Make a peanut butter sandwich with your feet? Hold pizzas in your hands while you do a somersault? There are lots of ways to think of food as we move, and learn about great things to eat at the same time!

Circus Day: Come to our circus training camp, where you can learn to learn to walk the tightrope, tame a lion, swing on the flying trapeze, and be an acrobat! Will you also have to be a clown? Maybe.

Medieval Times: Lords, ladies, princes and princesses, come to the castle for the festival! A tournament is a great place to see feats of strength and bravery.

Transportation Day: Car, airplanes, and boats can fly, roll, and float, and so can we! We don't need vehicles to get moving in this great class.

Octopus's Garden: Come in your swimsuit for an underwater party. Water obstacle courses, games, and challenges will make our gymnastics skills even more fun!

Nature Day: Climb a mountain, balance on a log over a raging river, and slide down a waterfall in our awesome nature class. Can you be as light as a raindrop, or shake like an earthquake? Maybe we'll need a few sun salutations to help us start our day.

Hawaiian Luau: Hula dancing is only the start to our awesome day on the island. Will you dare to climb up the volcano and jump in? Can you do the pineapple roll? Do you know how to act like a Polynesian warrior? You'll learn today!

Music Day: Whether you like to rock and roll, jam with Mozart, or jive to jazz, you'll learn a little something about rhythm in this class, and how that helps us move our bodies.

In the fall, our themes are usually centered around books, or holiday, or new skills. But we really live it up in the summer!
